During this evenings rehearsal we discussed playing at the flood fundraiser and the idea of becoming the ‘house band’ at the Shirston Inn, and being paid in food and beer. We all agreed it would be good for us to have a regular venue and that it will hopefully lead to a growing local fan base. I guess it could quite quickly start feeling like a live rehearsal and as people get to know us we can try out new stuff and get feedback; experiment a bit. We also decided that, although we can do either the 26 April or 10 May, the 26 would be our preference. Tomorrow I’ll let Sharon, the event organiser, know we’re up for performing. We can talk to the landlady about the resident band idea on the night.
