On my search to find a good way of sharing music for our new look website; yes, after only 3 or 4 months our website is going through a complete refresh which has hopefully taken us into the modern era, with the latest trend of full page images. More of that later. So, as I was saying, during my search for good ways to share music I came across Noisetrade. Here’s the Lazy Daze Noisetrade page…
Hopefully you’ll notice we’ve also upgraded our track images. There’s something else we’ve changed as well, which you’ve probably spotted already – our logo. Here is our original logo next to the new one. It feels a bit like we’ve grown up. The flowers and butterflies have gone.
This was really prompted when I uploaded the original logo to the new website and it just didn’t work. If you take a look at the new website I think you’ll see what I mean. You will also see the ‘download a free song’ widget, on the splash page you first arrive on. This allows us to share our music. It allows the recipient of our hard work to share, if they so wish and donate a modest sum, again, if they wish. Take a look – www.lazydazesoundlounge.com – and nab yourself a free track or two while you having a look round. I think it would be fair to say at this point that the sharing option is far more useful to us than the donation, so please, even if you’re not inclined to donate a dollar, please share with your Facebook and / Twitter family. The track on offer is our Glastonbury FM award winner…
I’ve also use AddThis to include lots of sharing a connecting options on the website. This took some setting up as I had to move the share buttons on the left of the site down, so they didn’t cover the menu. You’ll find plenty of tips on the AddThis webpage to help you tweak things, should you need to.
And let us know what you think of the shiny new website. we’re pretty pleased with it.
If there are any other useful tools you think we can add to our armoury do feel free to recommend.
As always, I’m grateful for you stopping by. Hope you visit again soon.
