Wednesday, 22 January 2014 | 343 days to go

We returned to David Oliver’s this evening, to complete our recording session. We had less time but having spent ages figuring the best positioning for each of us in the room, and volume levels, we were quicker to get down to things. The newest track was one Davy sings, ‘This Is where We’re At’. This song came together fairly quickly a few rehearsals ago and adds another flavour to our eclectic mix ofmaterial. I’ve posted it below, so take a listen and see what you think. To me it has a subtle touch of Springsteen about it.

This Is Where We’re At

Emma and Davy also recorded ‘My Little Girl’ this evening, making a total of seven tracks done during the ‘Oliver Priddy Sessions’:

  1. Run With Me
  2. The River (Previously know as ‘Down By The River’)
  3. This Is Where We’re At
  4. Catch Me
  5. So In Love With You
  6. My Little Girl
  7. I Can See You Fly

We took away a couple of CDs and will no doubt spend the next few days listening in fine detail. We’re scheduled to meet Monday evening for our usual rehearsal and will discuss how we think things went.

Just over a week until our Glastonbury FM appearance!

Best wishes,
